RAPPELLING

Non-Toxic's  Extreme Sports and Adventures:  Rock Climbing,  Wild Caving,  Paintball,  Camping,  Other...

Providing extreme adventures since 1993.

Rappelling through Non-Toxic's extreme adventure series is, how do we say, a little bit of coordination, a smidgen of strength, a lot of mental fortitude and a whole bunch of fun!  Both groups of young men and young women participate on all the adventures.  No gender has the edge in mental intensity here.

Rappelling is usually the first thing teens want to experience.  It is instant fun and excitement and draws a person to want to do higher and longer descents.

No one walks away from his or her first rappel with a, "um, I guess that was ok," attitude.

In Wisconsin we are blessed to have great bluffs to enjoy the many different types of rappel.  A free fall of over 70 feet is one of the favorites as well as the long 150 feet long decent of sheer delight.

Some rappels are short (30 - 70 feet long) but when leaning back over a talus slope that descends 300 plus feet to the water below it feels like 1,000 feet.

Rappelling to some is merely a way to get to the bottom of a climbing route.  To others it is a skill of balance, control and extreme enjoyment.  At Non-Toxic, it is all these things and much more!

Enjoy the pictures.  More will be following.  It is often so much fun watching that we forget to take pictures.

Because of the real  dangers involved in these extreme adventures NO  ONE takes Safety for granted nor do we act foolish  for a thrill.

The rappelling adventures are a lot of  fun and as with all the adventure retreats provided by Non-Toxic, we practice environmentally sensitive and safe trips.  We Kill nothing but time, take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints.

Look closely.  There are  two  people on   this 70 plus feet free-fall.  And yes, they are on separate ropes.  GREAT POSITION!

Over 300 feet above the Lake on a 70 plus feet drop.

A descent of balance, control and way too much fun!

Even Dave gets in on the action.  "I won't let it go to my head.  Broken Hip."

A RAPPEL IN NEED OF A BIT MORE CONTROL!   WEIGHT BACK AND LEGS OUT IN FRONT ...

150 feet of mental intensity waited for these teens.  They had what it took and repeated the rappel over and over...

Free-Falling.
